Habilitat – The Place of Change
For the last 4 years, FasterEFT has been going to Habilitat with the World’s Top Practitioners and volunteering for 10 days, working with the residents to release the emotional components that is the driving force behind the choices many residents used to make. The team of practitioners live amongst the residents following their daily routine, and work up to 12 hours a day to help facilitate change.
Habilitat’s approach to addiction is unique. They do not subscribe to the notion that addiction is a disease. At Habilitat they teach people that addiction and alcoholism is a choice. They have understood for many years that long-term drug rehabilitation alone is not enough to ensure long-term success. People need marketable skills and work ethics if they are to be competitive in today’s workforce. Their vocational training programs are second to none in the substance abuse treatment community. They motivate the unmotivated and often succeed where other programs have failed.
What makes Habilitat different?
Since 1971 Habilitat has been recognized as one of the nation’s foremost long term drug rehabilitation centers. Habilitat is a self-supporting non-profit organization. They have developed techniques for creating the qualities lacking in many people’s character: self-esteem, self-worth and self-discipline. Habilitat strengthens your character, mind and body. They believe the fastest way to take ones dignity is to do something for them that they can do for themselves. We teach individuals how to be self-reliant and responsible members of society.

Habilitat specializes in helping people overcome problems with substance abuse and anti-social behavior. They have the unique ability to change people who have lost hope into hardworking, responsible, caring human beings who are a benefit to society. Habilitat’s Vocational Training programs are second to none. They do not get individuals jobs when they graduate. They teach them how to become an asset for any company and give them the confidence to do it on their own.
