Intake Explained

Introduction

Hey there Agents of Change!

This week we are going to be looking at not only the Output System but how I use my Intake to be able to easily maneuver through a session.  I’ve taken this section to explain how I do an intake so that you will be able to better understand the examples that I recorded below.

Notice in the video below that I have done several examples and not full intakes.  This was done with the intent of helping you discover what Representational system is being used as the Output system.

Watch closely at each segment to see if you can discover which output system is used in each.  There is a hand-out above that gives you a copy of each of those intakes for each segment.

“We are what we repeatedly do.

Excellence,

then,

is not an act,

but a habit.”

FAQ

DO I HAVE TO DO MY INTAKE THIS WAY FOR SOC TO WORK?

No, the intake used in SOC is one that I developed for myself. You can use what ever intake works best for you.

The key thing is that your intake allows you to freely identify which systems you are using at any given time.

WHAT IF I DON'T GET THE OUTPUT SYSTEM RIGHT?

Our goal is to help our clients become unstuck.  While using SOC is very beneficial, it is not the be all and end all of a session.  Knowing this information will assist you in making deeper and longer lasting change.

If you don’t get the output system straight away, use a combination of the systems and you will be able to achieve the same results.

WHAT IF I GET OVERWHELMED WITH ALL THIS INFORMATION?

This course is about working towards mastery.  It is all in taking your time and practicing what you are learning.  Sometimes as we are learning, it may seem overwhelming but each time you review what you have done, you are one step closer to mastery.

If you become overwhelmed, take a step back and go back to what you already are comfortable doing.  Then add one piece in at a time.  Take you time. As each piece becomes more familiar, you will notice that your able to add more parts, and before you know it, you have mastered this new skill.

CAN I EMAIL KIM MY QUESTIONS DIRECTLY?

No. You can ask all SOC (Systems of Change) related questions and get feedback from other members in the Facebook group (and Kim is in there regularly). If you have a tech or account problem please email info@kimjewell.com.au
